In observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), with the sub-theme “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na Ang Oras!,” the NFDC, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office I, conducted an orientation on Anti-Violence Against Women and Children for its staff and personnel on November 27, 2024.
The Center invited Ms. Florabel P. Bao-In, Social Welfare Officer II from DSWD-Field Office I, who presented the topic “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (Republic Act 9262).”
The orientation’s primary goal is to deepen the understanding of the NFDC’s staff and personnel regarding the provisions of Republic Act 9262 and its importance in protecting the rights and welfare of women and children who are victims of violence.
The Center remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the national campaign to end violence against women and children and ensuring that no woman or child is left behind in the fight for a safer and more just society.
