The National Fisheries Development Center (NFDC) is a prime research, development and training center located in a 35-hectare coastal area along Lingayen Gulf in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines.
In February 1985, the facility was built by JICA Japan as a research center for oyster. It was turned over to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in 1997 and was known as the National Integrated Fisheries Technology Development Center (NIFTDC).
The NFDC is a National Center under BFAR which houses state-of-the-art technology facilities for aquaculture, laboratory, training and extension, research and post-harvest. The Center is a home to mature aquaculture technologies on shellfish, milkfish, saline tilapia, freshwater prawn, catfish, shrimp, seabass, rabbitfish, pompano, and sea cucumber.
